The skin a round the eyes is the same as the skin on your face in general BUT it has less padding underneath the skin in this area and is more delicate. Some people do find the area a round their eyes to be more sensitive. So it’s up to the individual whether they decide to buy a special eye cream or use their face serum or cream.
It is important when applying a face mask or a face scrub to avoid the area a round the eyes.
Eye Gel – hydrates and tightens
Aloe vera gel
Cucumber slices place on the eyes for 20 minutes helps sore eyes – a good time to do this is when you are having a relaxing face mask
Organic chamomile – 2 tea bags dipped in hot water and allow them to cool before placing them on your eyes. Chamomile is good for tired eyes.
Eye Bath – made with herbs
Rose Petals & Chamomile – for sore eyes
Eyebright & Marigold – for eye infections
Take a heaped teaspoon of a herb per cup of boiled water, cover and leave to steep for 15 minutes. Then strain through an unbleached coffee filter.
Use an eye bath or an egg cup that has been sterilised in boiling water. Fill with the herbal infusion and bath your eyes. Make sure the eye bath or egg cup is properly cleaned afterwards. Only make enough to use immediately it shouldn’t be kept.
Simple Affective Eye Make-up Remover
100% pure camellia oil
Mix 50% Organic Avocado Oil with 50% Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil in a clean container
Take a cotton pad and add just enough water to make it damp and then add the oil to the cotton pad and use to remove your eye make-up. Be gentle. Keep your oil ideally in a dark glass bottle, but definitely in a cool place out of direct light.
